Robinson Ranch is a medium sized community in the northeastern region of Rancho Santa Margarita. It is located south of Trabuco Canyon and is one of the city’s oldest neighborhoods. Residents love the beautiful foothills and views of the Saddleback Mountains.
There are several condo complexes in Robinson Ranch near the Plano Trabuco Road as well as two parks. It has a direct road into O’Neill Regional Park which feature 4,000 acres for camping and hiking. It also offers picnic areas, and playgrounds. This neighborhood has a Trabuco Canyon zip code even though it is officially part of Santa Rancho Margarita.
The award winning Robinson Ranch Elementary is within this neighborhood. The Saddleback Valley Unified School District also offers highly ranked Rancho Santa Margarita Intermediate School and Mission Viejo High School. The Santa Margarita Catholic High School is affiliated with the Catholic Diocese of Orange. There are several private elementary schools nearby like Serra Catholic, St. John’s Episcopal, and Mission Hills Christian School. Within an hour’s drive are 110 colleges and within minutes you’ll find Saddleback College, and the University of California, Irvine.
The 241 Freeway is easy to access and to the south is the Dove Canyon Country Club which offers the only private Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course in Orange County. Several shopping centers are within minutes including Plaza Antonio, Mercado Del Lago, and Plaza El Paseo.
Rancho Santa Margarita is one of Orange County’s newest planned communities. Most of its home construction was done between 1985 and 2000.
